Men's Bracelets

Men's bracelets date back to Biblical times. There are also mentions of men's bracelets in the Bible's Old Testament. Bracelets and rings were used as token of love and affection. According to the Bible, jewelry such as bracelets were often used as payment for services rendered.

One of these instances in the Bible that should be noted is written in the Book of Numbers 31:50. This is where God commanded Moses to attack and annihilate the Midianites. Moses sent 12,000 of his soldiers to do battle and by the end of the war all the Midianites were killed. None of Moses' soldiers were killed. To show their appreciation and thanks to God, the soldiers gave Moses bracelets made in gold and silver along with other jewelry. The value of this jewelry was valued at several hundreds of thousands of dollars at that time.

It was in the United State in the 1950's and 60's that bracelets became popular to the male population in the form of ID bracelets. The Speidel Corporation in Providence Rhode Island was the front runner and manufacturer of the ID bracelet. With their introduction to the general public in the 50's it was the male teenage population that made these bracelets popular. Most people thought this was a teen fad but in the years to come these bracelets became popular with male adults.

The craze for these ID bracelets started to ebb in the late 60's early 70's. It wasn't until the late 90's and into the next century that men's bracelets became part of our culture once again. It was bracelets imported from Italy that reintroduced men's bracelets as a viable product in the market place. The Italian bracelets were artistically designed with multi-faceted cuts and a variety of materials. It was the Italians' creativeness and use of a multitude of materials that spawned new life into men's jewelry.

Men's bracelets come in materials such as white and yellow 14K,18K, 24K gold. Sterling Silver bracelets are also popular among the adult male population. With men's bracelets becoming more and more in demand the companies manufacturing these items have become more creative.

New to the market in the 21st century are Stainless Steel & Ruber bracelets. These designer styled bracelets are becoming more and more popular because of their durability, fashion styles and economical prices. These Stainless Steel bracelets are so highly polished they look and feel like white gold.
